Question:
2. How can there be peace and security at a Midwrath Second Coming?
Answer:
To answer the question, we must first look at what precedes the Midwrath Second Coming.
We know from the Bible that the Antichrist sits in the temple halfway through the 70th Week and presents himself as God.
2 Thessalonians 2:3: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:4: Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
We also know from Scripture that the Antichrist will persecute Jews and Christians.
Revelation 12:17: And the dragon was wroth with the woman (Jews), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (Christians).
After the Jews have been driven out of Israel and Jews and Christians have been literally silenced, the world will say: now there is peace and safety.
But then we read the following Bible texts:
1 Thessalonians 5:2: For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
1 Thessalonians 5:3: For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
The day of the Lord is the Second Coming of Yeshua followed by the wrath of God.
The sudden destruction is therefore the wrath of God after the Second Coming of Yeshua. The Second Coming can be read in the following Bible texts:
Matthew 24:29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Matthew 24:30: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
1 Thessalonians 4:16: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God.
Revelation 6:12: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
Revelation 6:13: And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Revelation 6:14: And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
After the Jews are sealed, the wrath of God will be unleashed with the trumpets and the bowls of the Bible book of Revelation.
Conclusion: That the unbelievers will say peace and safety is therefore very logical in a Midwrath Second Coming.
For Pretrib as well as for Posttrib this Bible text is a problem.
